Courtesan Orientation

This is your orientation. Here at the Phoenix Lounge, our courtesans are experienced entertainers and host/esses with a wide range of skill sets of pleasures, companionship and conversation. Our establishment seeks to elevate such profession to a level of respectability, refinement, and class while having a genuine desire to see that all our patrons are given an unforgettable experience.As a courtesan, it is up to you if you want to charge actual gil or not for your services. If you do want to charge gil, let a member of Management know and we'll give you a role to track you. If you charge gil, the House receives 25% of all your earnings. The gil is paid directly from the patron to the Manager-on-Duty and you will be paid within forty-eight (48) hours.Under no circumstances, ever, are you allowed to exchange any kind of service for anything involving real money (RMT), including MogStation items/services. If you participate in Real-Money Trading you will be kicked and banned from the FC and the Discord! We won't report you to SquareEnix but you won't be welcome with us anymore. It is against the FFXIV and SquareEnix Terms of Service and runs the risk of a ban not only for you and your account but for all those associated adjacent to you.Charge clients at your own risk. The Phoenix Lounge is not liable or responsible if you get reported or banned due to charging your patrons gil.Anything goes if you're willing to participate with what the patron asks for. The only restrictions are what you are comfortable with and should be discussed with the patron upfront.If a patron makes you uncomfortable, DO NOT hesitate to drop the client and inform management immediately via DM in Discord with their name and a description of what happened. Please provide screenshots if possible. We all work together here and want to create a safe, fun and consensual work/play environment.Courtesans are allowed to turn down requests, or end a session, at any time. However, if this happens a large number of times, the courtesan will be required to go for review to see what's going on. We accept and respect that escorts have things they're not comfortable with and we want to help them work around it but if they're turning down the majority of requests, it is something that needs to be addressed by management. Spread Yourselves Out
While we absolutely love enthusiasm from our courtesans and also a desire to be close to the door, it can be incredibly overwhelming to guests coming inside our establishment to see so many name tags as soon as they load in. We ask that people spread out.Security Greetings
We ask that courtesans let Security be the first point of contact when guests come through the door. This helps to prevent people from being overwhelmed, and gives them a first interaction that can ‘break the ice’.Working Together
Sometimes when a courtesan interacts with our guests, it will become apparent that they're not quite their type and what they are looking for. This happens and its okay! It isn’t a reflection on the players, but on the fact that everyone has their own personal interests and tastes to be respected. The best way to handle it is to let management know in the Linkshell that there is a guest, with their name, and what their interests are. This will allow us to find a courtesan that is more fitting to their desires and needs, and facilitate a seamless transition!RP Focus, Not Booking Focus
We understand that at times, it can feel like there is no point in being around when there is an abundance of courtesans and not a lot of patrons. However, the Phoenix Lounge is not primarily a bordello or brothel - courtesan services are a side service we provide. We are primarily just a lounge, bar and resort and, as such, general RP is our main focus. If you nab a patron? Well, that's icing on the cake!Also, while lulls are natural, it doesn’t usually last. More often than not, we get patrons in bursts. Be patient! If there are more courtesans and staff than there are patrons? You are always welcome to do idle RP with your fellow Phoenix members to pass the time. All we ask is that if there are patrons, they are the focus, rather than RP between members.Lore Adherence
While at the Phoenix we absolutely understand and respect that everyone has the right to enjoy their stories and their roleplay the way that works for them, in order to keep things consistent and enjoyable for all those involved, we ask that patrons who come to our lovely venue make sure to do what they can to stay lore adherent during our open hours, and keep lore adjacent or lore breaking material for roleplay in private with those who consent to it. This is the easiest way for us to make sure that everyone is enjoying their roleplay experience while visiting our venue.Consent & Limits
When it comes to interactions in our Community, it's always important to get consent. While each courtesan has their proclivities listed on the site? That does not mean that those things are consented to prior to a scene. If you wish to get into something intimate, or aren't sure if the courtesan is interested? Then please be sure to message them and ask before doing what you're interested in doing.

Staff Orientation

This is your orientation. Here at the Phoenix Lounge, it is not only our escorts who are experienced entertainers and host/esses with a wide range of skill sets of pleasures, companionship and conversation. We are primarily a lounge, bar and resort and thus our general staff - and this includes bartenders, waitstaff, dancers and more - are also experienced and brought up to a higher standard than other establishments. Our lounge seeks to elevate all our professions to a level of respectability, refinement, and class while having a genuine desire to see that all our patrons are given an unforgettable experience.We pay 25,000gil per hour you work. At the end of the night, you are to give any and all tips you received to the main bartender on duty at the main bar. Once all of the tips from everyone are gathered, they will then be evenly distributed amongst the Staff (but not the courtesans who received patrons) as additions to your 25k/hour salary and will be paid to you within forty-eight (48) hours.We're a medium RP FC looking to not only satisfy the client but satisfy your needs as the player as well. When a courtesan, bartender or member of server staff serves a patron, we ask that you send a message in the Security and Escorts Linkshell that lets us know they have be served - e.g 'Lugerron Miritar has been served, given drinks, wants company/doesn't want company'. The reason we ask for this is so that we know what patron has been served/seen to, and what they're interested in without the need to double and triple check, or double and triple serve patrons.Lore Adherence
While at the Phoenix we absolutely understand and respect that everyone has the right to enjoy their stories and their roleplay the way that works for them, in order to keep things consistent and enjoyable for all those involved, we ask that patrons who come to our lovely venue make sure to do what they can to stay lore adherent during our open hours, and keep lore adjacent or lore breaking material for roleplay in private with those who consent to it. This is the easiest way for us to make sure that everyone is enjoying their roleplay experience while visiting our venue.Dress Code
While we do want and encourage our members to have their own sense of style and be able to wear what is more fitting to 'them' as a character, we thought it was somewhat important to establish at least a base dress code for our members.Our dress code for the Phoenix Lounge is fairly simple. Given the high class nature of our establishment, we ask our members that the outfits be clean, presentable, and more 'high fashion' than casual fashion.Coming to work in casual attire isn't really what we want for the image of the Phoenix Lounge. We want to look high class and visually appealing, and we ask that our members wear things that are either clean, formal, or cute while still being classy. Think murder on the dancefloor, not murder on the battlefield. Examples of nice attire are Dalmascan Draped Top/Pants/Shoes, Summer Indigo Shirt, Craftsman Leather Trousers, Best Man's Slacks, Leggings/Tights...look posh!For Security Specifically; Semi-formal attire is acceptable, as well as semi-formal combat attire, we only ask that full plate/full armor not be something used! We don't expect our security members to be our seductive tempters/temptresses, they're supposed to be intimidating and enforce the rules. So a different style to what would be expected from our courtesans/waitstaff/performers is alright.If you're not sure if its up to code? Ask!BARTENDERSBe Early
While our open hours technically start at 8pm on an open night, we ask that our bartenders arrive at least fifteen minutes early. With the way we advertise, there are times when we have guests and even our own members who arrive early, and we want them to have the full immersive experience from when they come in.Handling Tips
There will always be one of our bartenders who is designated to take tips. We ask that these are kept track of, and Management will take them at the end of the open hours. It will be made aware at the beginning of the night, exactly who the tips will be going to throughout the open.Handling a Rush
Dealing with a rush in our venue can be overwhelming. This is what we have the Escorts & Security Linkshell for. We recommend that you pull it away from the other chats so you can see it through the quick movement of chat. We also recommend plugging our drink names and your own name into your GobChat, so you can more easily get the pings if someone is ordering a drink.When it comes to a rush, slow down, take a breath and handle the drinks one at a time. It can often also be easier to have 'macros' of a sort - blurbs for each drink that you C&P into chat and have included a <t> command so that when you look at the person the drink is for, it will highlight their name in the macro without having to be typed.Remember that our members are all often incredibly patient and understanding. While we want quick and efficient service, you can take a few minutes to get drinks in order, and to ask questions if necessary.Guest Interactions
When guests come up to the bar, you’re their first port of call, the first person outside of security they interact with. We encourage our bartenders to chat, RP and have fun with our patrons and their position!Guiding Patrons
At times there are going to be patrons who sit at the bar simply to converse with their friends, rather than the bartenders. We are a lounge, bar and resort after all. Because of this, we're more than happy for our bartenders to offer for patrons to move to a booth where they would be more comfortable if they'd like. *This is to only be suggested and guided once. If patrons say they would rather sit and enjoy the atmosphere at the bar, then they're good there.For having two people on main bar:
If a drink order is placed, be sure to RESPOND to the drink order that you have it, so your co-bartender doesn't make the same drinks.If it makes it easier, alternate drinks. If one takes the first drink, another takes the next etc. The most important part is communicating who has which drink, to eliminate confusion.Make sure you're communicating with your co-bartender. If you have a lot of people just sitting at the bar, alternate who is making drinks and conversing and make sure you're letting management know who wants company and who is happy to just chat with our lovely staff members.SECURITYFloor Layout
When we have enough security, we encourage them to patrol all three floors, take temporary stations on those floors and keep an eye on everything. This allows us to give our security immersion, but also lets our security be close if a courtesan has an issue they need help resolving, or if we have issues we need to remove on various floors. We always encourage our security to move from one floor to another at intervals, so you don’t get restless or feel like you’re staring at one wall for four hours. We also encourage you to interact with wall flowers, with guests, courtesans, other staff members - so long as Security still appears to be doing the ‘job’.General Protocols
When it comes to trolls and problems, security is our first line of defense for this. Please make sure for both of these instances, and for lalafell that are seen coming into the premises, that you are letting Management and other security know what is going on in the Escorts and Security Linkshell. At times Management can more easily help solve the situation quickly, and get us back on track without any fuss. We’re all here to help one another.Door Guarding
Door guarding is arguably the most important job of security on open nights. The only reason for this being that the ability to make sure that our guests don’t have weapons/won’t cause trouble as soon as they enter the door. It becomes very quickly evident if someone is trolling just from them walking inside. And having someone at the door means if there is any guest who has weapons on them can very quickly have the weapons be removed and put into the weapon chest.This also helps us to have an initial point of contact with any guest who comes in and simple conversation with a security guard as they come inside. It's a good ice breaker. Let security move guests further inside before bringing other staff into the mix, to prevent overwhelming the guests themselves.Macros
Given the nature of specifically door security, we understand that sometimes people can walk in the front door and by the time you’ve gotten something typed out, they’ve already moved upstairs, downstairs, or past you - sometimes with weapons included. Because of this, we are okay with our door security having three to four macros that they rotate to keep it fresh.This concludes the orientation.Please return to your interviewer and let them know you have completed the orientation. *

Bartenders & Servers Guide

Hello and welcome, this guide will serve as an introduction and as a handy reference for anyone who might need it. Here at the Phoenix Lounge, the Bartenders and Servers are a fundamental part of our operations during open houses. We’re the ones that make sure that everyone has what they need and help them feel welcome.That being said, this is all an RP experience for everyone so we don’t want to make it restrictive for any of you or any guests in a way that hampers anyone’s enjoyment. The aim with this guide is to help make things easier to manage so that enjoyment is more easy to maintain.

The Key: Templates

Templates are your best friends when it comes to serving food and drinks quickly during rushes. We leave it up to each of you to come up with your own templates when it comes to different drinks or dishes. You all know your characters better than any of us, so you’d know any sort of unique spin they would put on a dish or drink. Ideally having these before encountering a rush is best so whether that’s by brainstorming them on a slow night, or by just typing them up when you have the free time to do so.If you choose not to make them out of the game itself, keep in mind that FFXIV’s message system allows for around 500 characters. An online character counter can help you with typing them up, but always test it in game to be safe. Once you have each of these templates typed up, we recommend saving them in a way that you can easily copy and paste into chat. Whether that is a notepad file, Google Doc, or whatever other method you see fit is entirely up to your discretion.See below for some example templates.

Bar Ingredient Locations

We trust our bartenders to be able to handle most drinks in whatever way they see fit. That being said, most things in a bottle are on the back shelves, while most other things like dry ingredients, the chiller for cold items, etc. are under the counter.Food Items InformationAs for the food items on the menu, these are prepared in the “back of house” kitchen area. This means you won’t have to go into the specifics of each dish’s preparation. As a server or bartender, you’ll just be showing more of the presentation of the dish to the patron.

General Information

Rushes and Working TogetherIf things get busy, don’t panic.
You’re never in it alone, and there are plenty of people that can help you if you need it. The linkshell helps for communicating with your fellow bartenders and servers on who is covering what so use that to your advantage on divvying up the patrons. And if it still feels like a lot, then don’t hesitate to reach out. Chances are whoever is available, whether management or otherwise, will step up to assist.If there’s multiple customers you’re waiting on, just handle things one at a time and then move to the next, this is where your templates come in handy.Handling TipsFirst and foremost, we never request tips from our patrons but if they offer one you are allowed to accept it.The tips are pooled together and distributed to everyone, so when you do receive one please pass it to the lead bartender for the night, who will track the tips and hand them off to management.Other Tips and TricksAlways have a link to the menu handy for people when they first come to the bar or are seated at a table. This can also be helpful if you ever need to look back at it for anything yourself.If someone orders something that isn’t on the menu, especially at the bar, don’t panic. If you aren’t quite sure what it is, you can always gently tell them it isn’t on the menu but you could try to make it if they describe it. Otherwise, when in doubt use Google. Chances are if it’s a common drink, there will be a recipe. This also helps for other drink terms like “neat, dirty, on the rocks, etc.”If there’s ever downtime, or you’re all caught up on orders, you are free to interact with fellow employees or patrons. Whether it’s just some small talk, exchanging stories, or something else, it helps patrons feel more welcome and makes their experience more memorable.Lastly, if you ever encounter an issue with a patron or a situation you are uncomfortable with don’t hesitate to reach out to management. They will help to resolve the issue in whatever way is necessary.

She spun the empty tumbler in her palm as she grabbed the gin, curacao, and vermouth. She measured out each into the tumbler, capped it off and shook its contents, silently nodding along as she kept tempo in her head. She poured the mix into the glass, and carefully slid it to <t>. /em chuckled softly. “I think we could all go for a little Sweet release.” Youko set the coffee machine to brew. While it worked, she retrieved the bottle of whiskey, uncapping the bottle while sliding over a stoutly rounded glass. As she poured the whiskey, the machine beeped as it finished brewing. Finished with the whiskey she slid it down the bar, pouring the dark brew in the glass, before the fresh cream was added. She grinned, sliding the drink over. “Here you are dear."Morbol Sprout
/em bowed slightly. "An excellent choice." She spun about, grabbing the vodka, absinthe, and liqueur from the shelves. She hooked two of the bottles between her open fingers and closed her hand as the bottles flipped over top of it and poured their contents into the tumbler. She poured the liqueur alongside them and closed the tumbler. She hummed to herself as she shook its contents and added it to a martini glass along with a splash of blood currant juice. She smirked, measuring out and pouring each into a tumbler and capping it. Holding it with one hand, she shook it vigorously back and forth in front of her. She poured the concoction into a martini glass, adding just a hint of lime basil, she slid the glass across. "Voila, the Madam's Jewels."Sinner’s Promise
/em lightly chuckled. "I promise I'll have that ready in no time." She set a glass atop the bar and retrieved the gin and elderflower tonic. With a flourish, she measured out each into a tumbler. She leaned forward against the bar, capping the tumbler and shaking it with one hand, winking playfully at <t>. She grabbed a handful of lingonberries and added them to the glass as she poured the drink atop them, sliding the glass forward. "One Sinner's Promise dear."Siren's Call
/em winked, “A Siren’s Call? Of course, right away.” Youko grabbed a tall glass, spinning it in her hand with a bit of flair and resting it on the counter. She turned to fetch the rolanberry concoction, uncorking the bottle with a resounding pop. Quickly spinning the bottle about, she backhand poured a measurement before giving the drink a good stir with a metal stick and slid it along the bar to <t>, “One Siren's Call, coming your way.”Ruby’s Sea Sake

She spun back around and hooked her finger around the bottle of rum, pulling it from the shelf. She measured out the rum into a glass and followed it with the orange and angostura bitters. She gave it a quick stir, and poured a spoonful of syrup slowly atop the drink as it continued to spin. Using a single finger, she nudged the glass across to <t>.La Oscura Almedra
/em bowed her head. “Coming right up.” She turned and scanned the shelves, pulling down the liqueur, whiskey, and rum then setting each of them on the bar. She retrieved a glass and tumbler as she measured out each of the three into the tumbler. Youko grabbed a metal stirring spoon and gave the mixture a quick blend. She idly spun the spoon between her fingers as she poured the mixed drink into a glass and slid it across to <t>. "Here you are, La Oscura Almedra."
